Hello apple Vis,
I wanted to ask what the accessibility is for Hulu as of late 2018?
I've been debating on resubscribing. although I would like to know the accessibility as far as iOS goes.
Chuck
I find the app to be quite accessible now. I am totally blind and use voiceover. The only thing that they still need to fix is the ability to switch TV seasons. You will have to use the TV app for that, but everything else works perfectly
When I go to try to click something on my Home feed it doesn’t really play. Also the categories I click on my Home feed like television such to not switch. Did they fix it! Hope so.
Others can probably comment more thoroughly as I don’t spend a lot of time with it on iOS, but from my experience the real disappointment is in the live TV feature, which you may or may not use. The control for changing what you have displayed in the channel selection list is not accessible. So all you can get to is channels you have watched recently on some other device. If you don’t use the live TV option it seems to work ok.
I started using hooloo in late july when Netflix didn't renew one of my favorite tv shows. I use the tv app for most things, like finding tv shows and playing shows I want to continue watching. The hooloo app is ok as far as accessability goes.
It has almost been a year ince I started using hooloo. I don't have the hooloo with live tv plan, so I can't speak about that. But overall, i find the app easy to navigate and use. You don't have to use the tv app anymore if you want to continue watching shows, just double tap on the keep watching section and you can continue watching your shows from there.
I installed Hulu about a month ago on my iPhone but, for the life of me, I cannot seem to find any show with audio description. Are there any movies or TV shows with audio description available on Hulu?
I think it is only this year that Hulu began adding audio description to some of its original content. The last I heard, you could not get at it from all platforms, but that was some time ago so that may have changed. In any case, I don't think you will find a lot of described content there yet. They are working on it, so over time it should get better.
Please note:
As mentioned on the page above, Audio Description is only available via (in an accessible way of accessing it) is via the ‘Apple TV.”
Hope this helps.
Is there any way to watch old disney tv shows from the 80s and 1990s? plus newer disney shows, streaming online? accessibly? I tried disney now, but it is not accessible on any platform, apple tv, iOS, android, no go, so I uninstalled it.
Sadly cartoon network is not accessible, but the shows I like can be played for free in the tv app through hulu. But yet, the adult swim app is fully accessible for your anime needs. I tried disney now and cartoon network on both iOS and android, no go on either platform, almost completely inaccessible. I guess they figure adults do not like modern or older disney cartoons. so the only alternative is streaming cartoon websites that use html5 web players and your web browser on iOS. Safari is best I think. And for older classic nickelodeon shows, pluto tv is your best and only choice. Oh yeah the only other option I found is youtube tv, but that is not free.
