Hi all,

Since updating to IOS 4.2.1 Echofon Pro is crashing whenever I flick up to the most recent tweet in my timeline. Anybody else experiencing the same?

I was excited this morning to see an update for Echofon was available - finally an end to the regular crashes when swiping through the timeline, surely?

Sadly not, the update crashed within 10 seconds.

Considering that this was supposedly a major update, I am majorly disappointed to see the the developers have still not fixed this problem.

Looks like it might be time to take a look at Tweetlist.

I finally got frustrated enough and deleted Echofon from my phone. I took the plungue and bought TweetList. The only issues with it are: 1. When replying to a tweet, the keyboard sometimes doesn't appear, no matter how much you double-tap the edit field. The only way I've found of fixing this problem is to remove TweetList from the App Switcher and reload it. 2. I think this is pretty random, but sometimes buttons switch labels. This is the only way I can describe it. This happens most when double-tapping a tweet to bring up the options of favoriting, replying, clicking on a URL and so-forth. This also sometimes happens if you have opened a webpage in TweetList's dedicated web browser. I have noticed that the "Close" button switches it's label to "Link item." I haven't actually flicked down by character to see if it's actually replacing the label, or if VO's is just coughing on some bug in the app. Either way, this isn't too big an issue for me, as I have pretty much memmorized the order of buttons across the bottom of the screen that pop up after double-tapping on a tweet; and as for the "Close" button in the web browser, it's located where most back buttons of iOS apps are, so finding that isn't an issue, even if it's label changes. Oh, by the way, this behavior was happening in the version before the most recent update, 2.4.0. I haven't used TweetList much after this update, so I can't atest to the developers fixing things or not, but they seem committed to their appp being accessible with VO, and their app certainly shows it. These could be iOS bugs, though they seem more like VO bugs to me--who knows? Anyhow, I just thought I'd recommend TweetList. Apart from those issues (the keyboard one is the more annoying by far), TweetList is a great app!

I'm reluctaqnt to celebrate too quickly, but I just upgraded to version 5 of the app, and so far there hasn't been a hint of a crash.

Just maybe Echofon is back on my home screen.

I've not encountered any crashes yet, but does anybody know how to access hashtags or usernames that are mentioned in tweets?

If there is a link in the tweet, double-tapping will open the link, whilst a double-tap and hold opens a menu.
