Does anyone know if it is possible to translate Facebook and Twitter posts?

Hi All,

Does anyone know if it is possible either in Facebook or using the native iOS twitter app to view translations? Occasionally, I'll get a post say on FB in a different language and at the end of reading the post VO says "view translation" but despite trying everything I have no idea if you can. Same with Twitter. If this isn't possible for FB or Twitter are there any iOS twitter apps that you can do this with. I don't think Twitterrific for example can either.

You need to double-tap on the post to get more options.

I'm not sure about Facebook and the official Twitter app, but it can be done in Twitterrific. On the tweet you want to translate, swipe down to the more options action and double-tap. Translate will be one of the buttons in the window that comes up.

Never tried on Twitter but I see someone has already given a solution to that. :) For FB, as said in the previous reply, double-tapping on the post should give you a "see translation" button which works. Couple of things to note about it though:
1) It translates the post but not other text e.g. the preview text of a link. For me, therefore, it's not that useful as I want to translate the summary of news articles which inevitably are posted as a link.
2) Translations aren't that great.

I prefer 3-finger tapping 4 times to copy the Voiceover text to clipboard and running it through Google Translate, which I think gives better results.
