iPad air update

Posted on Sunday, March 9, 2014 by djflex90
Ipad Air Update. By Christopher O'Meally. Not long ago I wrote an article about the first couple of days with my new Ipad Air. I have noticed many new things about it, and I got a really good case to boot. So Lets get started. Needless to say I still love Apples newest Ipad, and even though I own a MacBook Air, the Ipad Air has become my main device. I perform most functions on it. Word processing, spread sheet creation, presintation creation, video editing, music composition, Netflix,…

Posted on Friday, February 7, 2014 by Jackie Brown
If you are the sort of person who puts their iPhone down and can't locate it, or you live alone and would like something uncomplicated to use as an extra security measure, then consider HipKey.  Here's why! HipKey is a small gadget you can pair with your iPhone using Bluetooth that will emit an alarm if you become separated from your device.  Using the free HipKey app that you download from the App Store to your iPhone, you can configure HipKey to work within a specified radius…

iPad Air review

Posted on Thursday, January 30, 2014 by djflex90
So I picked up my iPad air a few days ago, and the first thing I noticed was how small the box was. I had the chance to play with an iPad 2 the day before, and the box with everything inside felt like it weighed about the same. So what did I find when I opened the box? Simple packaging thank goodness. I felt like a kid with a new toy and I didn't want to waste time with complicated packaging. Once I removed the plastic cover, the iPad in all of its shiny glory could be lifted from the box…

Seagate Wireless Plus 1TB Mobile Storage with Built-In Wi-Fi Streaming

Posted on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 by Jackie Brown

I am not alone in my dislike of Apple's iTunes, and recently came across a product that seemed to fit the bill for bypassing the software to play my music library on an iOS device.

The Seagate Wireless Access is a small external hard drive that allows you to copy music, videos, photos and documents between it and iOS or Androidusing the Seagate Media app. Furthermore, the Wireless Access runs on battery for up to 10 hours, and connects wirelessly to your network and Apple or Android…

The Powerful powerqube

Posted on Thursday, January 2, 2014 by Scott Davert
Introduction For the power user, which I consider myself to be, one of the challenges is keeping all of your devices charged and ready to use. As someone who owns an iPod, iPhone, Macbook Air, and who requires braille support, I demand a lot of power each day. A problem for me is that most power strips are huge in size, or they do not have enough outlets configured in the spacing which will allow me to charge many devices simultaneously. For example, a few different AC adapters. This was…

The RAVPower 14000 MAH "External Battery Charger Pack": a lot of power for a little bit of money

Posted on Thursday, October 24, 2013 by Scott Davert
Introduction There are currently 2 models available of this pack, one which has a capacity of 8400 MAH which costs $32.99 and another which boasts a capacity of 14000 MAH which sells for $43.99. Both of these prices were found on Amazon the day this review was written. As I'm a heavy user of electronics, this means I'm also one that goes for the higher capacity batteries. Besides, for $11 more, I get nearly twice the amount of power. SO, of course, that means this review covers the higher…

Mobee technology magic bar

Posted on Thursday, September 19, 2013 by Elena Brescacin
The magic bar is an accessory needed to re-charge apple's magic trackpad and wireless keyboard without having the trouble to have always new batteries or the electric recharger with us; it recharges by a normal micro USB cable, full charge takes about 6 hours: this ensures you to have your apple wireless keyboard always 100% charge! The description of the accessory is quite simple: in the box, there is a small single cylinder that is the battery; this package includes just one battery, for one…

The Limeade 18000 MAH battery pack: a lot of power for the money

Posted on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 by Scott Davert
IntroductionThe Limeade line of products come in many different sizes to suit your needs. They have a few packs, ranging in size from the $25 5000 MAH battery pack to the $99 18000 MAH battery pack. You can look at all the different models to compare for yourself by searching Amazon for Limeade. This specific review only covers the 18 MAH version. The higher the number, the more it costs, but also the larger the device and more juice you get to power your devices.

Posted on Saturday, May 25, 2013 by Maya
I have purchased this gadget a few weeks ago and I am very satisfied. The product price is fantastic, it cost two U.S. dollars including shipping. The seller ships the products worldwide for free. The strap also fits with Otterbox deffender case. Unfortunately, the strap is made only for 30 Pin connector I-devices. The description from the website: Color: Black Material: Plastic + silicone + aluminium alloy Type: Apple 30Pin Gadgets Compatible Models: iPad / iPhone / iPad Features: The sturdy…

Seidio BD4-PBYIPH4-GR Innocell Plus Power Case for Apple iPhone 4/4S

Posted on Saturday, April 20, 2013 by Doug
There seems no section on applevis for external batteries and the item is both, though the prime purpose is as a battery; the case is only to make both the Iphone and battery one compact unit. Warning: this message is longer than an east-bound grain train at harvest! The power pack I will be discussing for the IPhone 4S is also available for the IPhone 5. The model is I believe rather steeply priced at present at $71 Canadian. The unit I purchased is: seidio bd4-pbyiph4-gr innocell Decent…

JBL Flip Bluetooth Speaker Review

Posted on Friday, March 29, 2013 by Deng
I recently just purchased the JBL Flip Bluetooth speaker, and am very surprised by it's size, and it's sound. The JBL Flip is a portable Bluetooth speaker with outstanding sound for it's size. I will first try and describe the speaker, and how it looks. First off, the speaker is more cylindrical than anything else, with the back pinched, to make room for the base that lets you set the speaker horizontally. This thing is probably as big as an energy drink can. Probably a little wider, but not…

Withings iScale and BP monitor

Posted on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 by Jerry Berrier
I had been using IBP, an accessible app for monitoring blood pressure. It permits manual entries, and it interfaces with the Withings BP monitor and body weight scale. I purchased both and discovered that an additional app called iScale must be installed. iScale is only marginally usable with Voiceover. You can weigh yourself or take your blood pressure and read it on the iPhone without much difficulty, but most of the features are totally inaccessible or very difficult to use without sight…

Music Bullet Mini Portable Speaker for iPhone, iPod and iPad

Posted on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 by justin T

The Magic Bullet speaker is a very small, mainly round, circular like object.

It can even pop up to enhance the depth of sound quality some what. Just expand the retractable cable and plug in to any standard headphone port and your ready to listen.

I got it at Walmart for around $15. It comes with a micro USB charging cable.

This small portable speaker produces very nice sound for its size. It can play content louder than the built-in speakers of iPhones and…

Jawbone JAMBOX Wireless Bluetooth Speaker

Posted on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 by Moopie Curran
This is a rechargeable bluetooth speaker for iOS devices. It's very small, it's about 6 inches long, give or take. The pairing process is very simple, you just flip the switch on the right side of the unit and hold it. It gives spoken feedback to tell you it's in pairing mode. In the box, it comes with a 6-foot mini usb connector cable which connects the unit to the computer or to the included AC-usb piece. There's also a flimsy-looking auxiliary in cable that comes with the speaker to attach…

AirStash, USB pen drive and iPhone-iPad extra storage

Posted on Monday, June 11, 2012 by Elena Brescacin
AirStash looks like a normal pendrive: rectangular shape, with a cover that must be removed from the bottom side, to reveal the USB connector, and inserted again if USB is not used. In the middle there is the button, the unique button, used to turn wi-fi mode on and off. The top side has a slot for a normal SD card, it supports classic SD cards up to 32GB, and if a micro-SD is used, the small card must be inserted into its adapter, to turn it into a SD, before inserting it into the airstash;…

Line 6 Mobile In Audio Interface for iOS

Posted on Thursday, May 31, 2012 by DrewWeber
The Line6 Mobile In Continues the jaw dropping concept of all this? from your pocket? though it's outer casing is made of plastic, it feels pretty stirty. About the size and feel of a Compact Flash CF Card Case, it has two 8th inch input jacks: (Stereo Line in, and instrument level) on the front, and a doc connector on the rear. It's long enough to plug into a device even in an otterbox style case. It comes with a cable which converts from 8th inch to quarter inch, which is good, because I…

The PowerGen External Battery Pack 5200mAh High Capacity Power Bank

Posted on Sunday, April 1, 2012 by Scott Davert
The PowerGen External Battery Pack is not an iOS device specific charger, which can be viewed as a draw-back or an advantage. The battery pack was designed to essentially charge anything that has the ability to charge via USB. It comes with a multitude of adapters for plugging in to such devices as an iOS product, any number of Android devices, GPS Receivers, and just about anything else you can charge via USB. While the documentation is not available digitally, which is the reason it gets 4…

New Trent Arcadia Pack IMP70D 7000mAh external battery

Posted on Thursday, March 1, 2012 by Mello
When I travel I have been using the New Trent Battery to keep my iPhone and other USB powered devices charged up. It has two USB ports so I can charge my iPhone and my Bluetooth headset at the same time. The battery is about the size of the iPhone 4, and turns on with the press of a button. If nothing is connected or the charge cycle is done the battery will turn off automatically. I found this product works quite well and I don’t have to replace my case or make my iPhone overly thick. I got my…

Feligan Power Brick Multicharger

Posted on Monday, February 27, 2012 by Elena Brescacin
Visually impaired people are often used to have several devices at home or office: smartphones, computers, Braille display, USB rechargeable devices, and so on. This means that the house and office, is full of electric or USB cables for charging batteries, with the mess they can cause! Many cables in the same place, with even the risk of falling on them! A small Italian company, called Feligan, has solved the problem: a unique solution for all devices! Power Brick. This accessory can charge…
