LG BHS-700 Bluetooth headset with earbuds I love this set. It just lays around your neck and the earbuds magnetically attach to the around-the-neck piece to keep them from getting in the way. It is perfect if you want to avoid tangling cords and have quick access to your headset. The only thing that would make it better is for it to be invisible, LOL! You can control your music, answer and end calls, use Siri, etc., from the neck piece. The battery gets me through all day without recharging. Have paired it with my iPhone and works while my Braille display is also paired and connected. Note: At this time it appears as though the LG BHS-730 (the newer head set), is not working with the iPhone 5 so I don't recommend getting it even though it has some features we would like. The thought is that the newer version of bluetooth doesn't work with IOS 6. Hopefully this will get resolved because it includes audio queues that would be helpful. I will update this if and when it works.

As far as I know, it's using bluetooth 3.0, which the iPhone 5 should support. Maybe there's something I'm not getting, though. I want to get the HBS 730, but I've seen plenty of less-than-satisfactory reviews for it on Amazon. The most frequent complaint seems to be that the bluetooth antenna seems to be faulty. Quite a few users say that you can move about 15 feet before the signal starts getting choppy (there are various distances given)--and that you must have line of sight with whatever you're pared to. Other reviewers say that you must have the device you're paring to in front of you, on a table, for example--and that you can't even move your head to the side, or move your arm up in front of the headset, or the connection becomes choppy. I think I'll just get one and find out for myself. If it's crappy, I'll send it back. Thanks, Shersey

I have purchased a lot of Bluetooth headsets and they all suffer from one main issue; Sluggish when working with voiceover. I think its important because when touch typing during a text, it gets so slow that typing becomes a hassle. Let me know if you guys have had a different experience. I've tried Bluetooth 2.0, 2.1, Bluetooth 3.0, but not 4.0 as of yet because of a lack of availability.

I can't speak to lots of Bluetooth configurations, but I can confirmed that this particular headset has lag. I don't have particular problems with range with this particular model. I would recommend this headset for the same reasons as the original reviewer. Ease-of-use, lots of on-device options, integration, great battery life, etc.

Just thinking, maybe since this seems to be an issue that pretty much all Bluetooth headsets have, we could submit some kind of feedback or even petition to make them aware that their headsets are not only used by sighted individuals. Maybe it sounds silly or even niave, but it seems to be something to do with the audio packages that are sent from the phone. When a phone is using the headset without voice over, there is pretty much no lag at all with any audio.
