I fired up iTunes this morning and was informed that there is an iTunes update. I hit the "Download and Install" button and switched over to Apple Software Update. After the User Account Control rigmarole, I saw that the latest iTunes update was selected for download. When I hit the "Download" button, Apple Software Update did its thing for a few seconds and then told me there was an error in the download and that if the error persisted, I was to go to the Tools menu and download the update manually. When I went to Tools and hit the Download button, I was informed that there was a certificate error and that the download was deleted.
Say *what?* How do I fix this, short of doing a complete 64-bit iTunes install?
Thanks.

Try Downloading from Apple's Website
Hi Mike,
You might have better luck going to http://www.apple.com/itunes and downloading it using the download link. The website should automatically detect your operating system, and the download and install process is pretty straightforward. While there is a field to enter your email address when downloading, just uncheck both the checkboxes for the Apple newsletters and you can download without giving an email address. For the installation itself, as best as I can tell, it's basically the same as if you downloaded it from Apple's software update tool.
Yeah; the installation is
Yeah; the installation is straightforward. I'll probably do that.
Thanks.
