for work, I use a mini PC that has Windows 11. It does not have Bluetooth capability, so I use a headset with a dongle. I did not have trouble with my old headset, but the new one is doing something strange. when I am done with the session, I sign out. When I come back, I do control all to delete to wake the computer up. However, Jaws has disappeared. I have to reboot the entire computer to get Jaws back. I don’t know if the headset has anything to do with that. I did read where headsets with a certain wavelength can affect your computer. However, I thought that the dongle wouldn’t give that kind of problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I did send this information to Jaws and I am waiting to hear back from them.

Sound card
Do you have a way to confirm if JAWS is really unloaded?
The easiest way would be if you have a Braille display? If not perhaps a moment of sighted assistance or fire up Narrator.
My guess is JAWS is still loaded but got confused on the sound output device. It can either stop sending sound or sends it to a sound card that isn't actually making sound. There are two ways to check: in the JAWS menu look under Utilities > Sound Cards.
The shortcut to just toggle between them is JAWSKey+Space v c and then arrow up and down. I'd suggest trying this key sequence the next time JAWS is silent and see if one of the choices will bring it back to life. Note: switching sound cards can take a few seconds, so wait a bit after eaach choice is made.
