Hey all.
I have an ipod touch, with a lot of music on it. I also have an eight gb iphone. I would like to get one cd that is in itunes right now, on to my phone, but only that cd, nothing more. How do I do this? I am using a windows xp laptop for now. Could someone give me step by step instructions? Thanks.
Also I do not want it to synk apps either.

Hi Cat I have done this process many times however to be honest I can not write or tell you exacly step by step because there are allot of steps to follow Could someone give me step by step instructions? Thanks. so there are also many questions. you have a Laptop windows XP with iTunes this means iTunes library both devices have tide at the same apple ID? so have you sincronize this iPhone before to this computer? and also if you have all kind of audio media saved on your iPhone that you have got from other library or Purchases from iTunes you could miss this media include Music, tones, videos, ETCETERA. apps is totally different. so there are allot of steps to follow. and I don't want to give the wrong instructions because you have contacts, data, and more on your iPhone. but it is possible. if you are interested to sync it contact to me via mail just look on my profile.
First you will have to import the songs from the cd then after there imported you will need to go to the sources table then go to devices then select you're device then move to the radio button that says music then check it next tab to the check box that says sync music and then press the space bar to check it then if you tab again you will see two radio buttons sync entire library or sync select playlists then tab to the list of songs and arts then select the ones you want to sync then tab to apply then press enter to apply the settings.

It is set up from the phone itself. Now I am confused. I don't understand this at all. I don't mean to be mean, but if the phone is set up then what does this all mean?

okay Cat. remember who you said: I have an ipod touch, and iPhone 4S, 8Gb running the latest iOS seven. I would like to get one cd that is in itunes right now, on to my phone, but only that cd, nothing more. Also I do not want it to synk apps either.I use windows xp laptop with NVDA for now. I have never hooked this iPhone up to the computer yet. It would be the same library for both devices. Same apple ID. It is all the same. Their are apps on my phone that are not on my touch, but I want it that way. okay first the information that you wrote is not enough but via mail you sent me couple points. I know you have Windows Laptop but I will mention Windows PC works on the same way. okay I will start launch iTunes on the Windows PC using the USB core plug the iPhone at the Windows machine the windows PC will install some drivers it takes couple minutes until the iPhone will start getting charge you have pictures right? the PC will ask how would you like save the pictures and videos try to figure it out because you don't said any thing about it dropbox, or outlook. also I suggest if you use iCloud do a iCloud backup before to start. iTunes will ask if you want to register this device, register it under the sorces tree view look under devices sorces for your iPhone you can navegat using arrow keys up or down Tap to move to the next item Shift tap move to the previous item under the iPhone named per example Cat iPhone press tap so iTunes will ask how would you like to set your iPhone set up as new device or restore using BackUp Remember you have other iOS device apple iPod if you don't want to sync apps or books or other staffs the you have on your iPod set up as new device it means you are going to save own iPhone data and settings, as conntacs, settings, voiceOver text messages, email account and more. restoring from iTunes backup it means you will save or transfer all the information as data, settings, apps, tones, music. and more, since last backup per example last back Up January 14 from your iPod so you have many data on your iPhone as contacts, mail account, text messages, and you don't want to miss. pick first option set Up as new device Syncing Music. first of all, if have tones, or kind of media you are going to take out from the device if you purchase the media on iTunes you could download or sync from iTunes don't worry you can do it later. Under the devices sorces tree view Cat iPhone follow for the battery statres press tap until reach for music chec box press space bar to selected will through many check boxes continue pressing tap until reach Sync music check box, it needs to be check ( selected) if isn't press space bar iTunes will tell you some thing about library after check sync check box, if you don't have any audio media don't pay attention press tap couple times will show 2 options sync entire Music library check box and sync selecting playlist, Artists, albums and generos check box press space bar on the second option because you want to sync just one album. you said one CD how does it come? 20 songs, one artist or many artist.hmmm? well press pap and you will have many choices from playlist,Artist, geners, albums select where show per example albums tree view use the arrow key to navegate down or up slect the CD or album pressing space bar. continue pressing tap until rich for Sync or apply and press enter on it. I hope this helps and please to everyone write the most possible details on the post to understand clearly and easy and don't try to guess or figure it out.
