I have recently returned to using Windows rather than a MacBook, which I just could not get on with. It has been many years since I have used iTunes to download music from Apple and to transfer it to other devices or to burn it to CD.. I do remember that iTunes wasn’t the most accessible app in the world, I am wondering what peoples experiences are now of using it on a Windows computer? Is it still accessible, more accessible, less accessible. I also recall there was a runtime a program developed by someone which made it more accessible. Can anybody shed any light on this?

iTunes and Windows
iTunes works reasonably well with NVDA on windows. Enough to accomplish the tasks you would like such as buying content and transferring it to your devices. F6 is a big help to get to different sections of iTunes.
With JAWS
It also works reasonably well with JAWS, with some frustrating exceptions.
I am currently having trouble reading the drop down boxes for smart playlists. In the past, I was able to overcome this with the JAWS cursor, but that isn't working currently. Other than that, I find it all works fairly well.
The one thing to be aware of is that despite retiring iTunes on the Mac, Apple is still releasing updates for iTunes on Windows. With each new update comes the fixes, and breaks in accessibility.
iTunes and Windows
iTunes seems to be one of the worst UI designs in the world. Using a screen reader one practically has to wear out one's fingers just tabbing around to get to things. Even sighted users seem to have trouble with the interface and how it works.
Almost every time I sync my iPhone with my PC the custom ring tones I have for some people in my contact list disappear and go back to the default ring tone.
Really? How hard is it to make a program to perform device syncing?
I believe that there are other paid utilities out there if you do a google search. These are supposed to be easier to use and more user friendly.
