ITunes & ITunes store

Hi ,
Firstly, I would like to say that I am a "Newbie" to the cell phone world. I have just purchased my first cell phone/Iphone Oct 1, 2013...and this is also my first ever post to a forum! How's that for being really new.
I am using JAWS 14 with Windows 7. I am having a difficult time buying apps. The IStore is not allowing me to register an Apple ID, as the text fields are skipping. i had a sighted friend register me to overcome that barrier. I thought it would be smooth sailing after that....but not there yet.

I really don't use a phone very much and that is why I took so long to get one. I actually wanted to have the IPhone to access the apps for visually impaired users. Now that I have the phone and set it up, I can't purchase the apps I wanted.

I have the IPhone 4s + IOS 7+ ITunes 11= HELL (that's a formula some may understand). Can anyone give me some alternative options to using ITunes for my app purchase/search

Thank you

I personally find that browsing and buying from the App Store is a whole lot easier on the iPhone itself rather than having to fight with iTunes. Have you tried this?
I personally find that if I need to do any sort of over the air updating using the phone it is sooomuch easier using iTunes on my Macbook than using over the air on the iPhone. I wouldn't know much about using iTunes on the windows side. Do what Soupy says and try the AppStore on the iPhone. It should make buying apps an easier process. I hope this helps.

Hi Calli, and welcome to both the world of iOS and the Applevis community! I agree with the previous 2 posters who say it is much easier to purchase apps from the App Store app on the phone. I understand why you would want to use iTunes with your PC to do this, since it's more of what you are familiar with, but it may be a good way to learn VoiceOver as well. When I set up my first iPhone, which was a 4, I had similar ideas, but ultimately found out that it is so much easier to use the App Store on my phone.

I gave up using system access on the iTunes store. I don't know about JAWS but system access keeps reading "no other links or form fields" any time I try to do anything. Now I just use my iPhone to make iTunes purchases and it runs like a song. It is guaranteed accessable so I say make use of what you know will work.
