No it's not a question, but a solution for the one single other nerd out there.
So you know probably that in a long list of files / folder in windows explorer, we can quickly scroll through the list with page up and page down keys, or whatever fn combination newer keyboards have. Something that's still hard to do as blind voiceover users on the mac, but this is not the point here.
I really don't know why but since a year or two, these shortcuts were no longer working for me properly. It was similar to when we press up/down arrow. I of course thought for the longest time that it was one of the random non BSOD bug in windows 11. But no!
You just have to maximize the window. alt space, maximize, or the shortcut everyone should know but forgets, myself included, windows+up arrow, and going through large list of files will be much faster.
Another gift for you, windows up arrow to maximize any window, useful to see the proper view of the windows calculator history for example (welcome!), windows down to restore (undo the maximizing, repeat to minimize, usually will go to taskbar or any other miximized window you may have, windows left/right arrow to snap left / right, not very useful for us blind in 99% of contexts but why not.

There's an add-on for that
For the NVDA users out there, there's an add-on that will make it so when NVDA launches, the Windows plus up barrow function is automatically activated. Ensuring all of your windows are maximized. You can find it in the add-on store from within the NVDAUI.
The add-on is called: NVDA Extension Global Plugin.
Be forewarned, this add-on offers a ton of tweaks to enhance the user experience.
Thanks for reading. 😎
