I had to tell you all about this. I have been searching for literally years to find a really accessible and useable way of reading and studying the Bible. I have always wanted to be able to use a program like Logos or Olive Tree, but their just not accessible. the websites are accessible, but their so difficult to use.
Well, I've finally found something. it doesn't give me everything that I want. There is no library of commentaries or anything, and as of right now, there is no note-taking function, but it is so, so easy to read and navigate through the Bible and compare different versions. There is also a bunch of cross references that are super easy to get to and look through. It's also easy as can be to copy verses with their references. You would not believe how aggravating and difficult that simple thing is to do with a screen reader in the Bible Apps and on the websites.
I am so, so grateful that I found this!
I'm a JAWS user at work, but this add-on alone is going to convince me to switch to NVDA! Seriously, I'm that excited about it!
It's just called Bible, and the developer is Alexandr Halimon.
I feel like I've seen that name in one of these forums before, so if you're around... Thank you so, so, so much!!!

I am right there with you, when it comes to finding a truly accessible Bible study application. Whether it's an add-on, or a full application by itself.

Kudos to the developer of this add-on. I hope he continues to develop it as time passes on. 😊

Can you tell us anything about these add-ons? What sets them apart from other Bible apps/add-ons?

TIA. 🙂

The first link is the one to the add-on that I was talking about. Here is some more info about it from the about page:
Bible
The application is designed for convenient study of the Holy Scriptures and provides advanced tools for navigation, search, and management of Bible translations. It allows you to easily navigate through the text, move between books, chapters, and verses, work with different translations, and compare biblical passages.
Developer: Alexandr Halimon
Email: halimon.alexandr@gmail.com
Repository: GitHub

Key Features
The application allows you to:
• Use a tab system to work with multiple Scripture texts simultaneously.
• Quickly navigate between books, chapters, verses, and translations.
• Copy verses and fragments with references.
• View parallel passages and contextually similar fragments.
• Use text search with filtering by books, chapters, or verses, including smart search via the Gemini API.
• Work with reading plans, track progress, and mark read passages.
• Download and remove translations for different languages and reading plans.

There are a ton of keyboard shortcuts for navigating and performing various functions. It is completely optimized for screen reader users to do everything with hotkeys.
the second one's info is all in another language, maybe Spanish, not my area of expertise, lol, so I'm not sure.

Thanks for this! I have been looking for a good way to read the Bible on my computer, as the HTML versions I have do not render well in Edge now that Microsoft appears to have disabled Internet Explorer Mode. I am a JAWS user out of habit, but will definitely look into this.
