typing passcode on apple watch

I am wanting to turn on pass code for my apple watch. I have done this in the past with no problem. Now when I go to type in a new pass code I get no feedback when trying to type in a new code. I am not sure if the number I touched was entered or not. How do I enable touch type typing on my apple watch. That is when I slide or move to a number and lift my finger I get feedback that I had typed that one digit.

You will hear a slight click sound, if you have hearing loss you might have an issue. Just be careful I guess, or if you have a keyboard try that method of entering a password?

Yes I hear a click when I move my finger to the number on the watch face. The number does not seem to register. btw there is nothing wrong with my hearing.

No, you will hear the click when you input the number, it is a slight tap sound that is high in pitch and very very very quit. I split tap everythign so I can put in my pw very quickly.

Okay thanks. I hear the click but the digits do not enter into the watch. It appears I need to double tap the number to get it to register. I want to enter the number like I do on my phone "touch typing" Again I hear the click when I move to the number on my watch but it does not register. I am not sure how to change typing modes on the watch, if that is required.

No, like we said, direct touch does not work. you need to split tap or double tap when you hear the number. it's actually very simple, unless you have big fingers. I have thin hands so for me entering my pw on my 38 mm watch is almost not a big deal. and when it is I just find and double tap the number. I'd demo but I don't want to compromise my pw.

Okay thanks for the response. I had used a pass code in the past and do not remember needing to double tap or split tap. What a pain. Anyway thanks for your response.

I've been using an apple watch since 2016, and I've always had to split tap. Like I said I don't mind as I can actually type a lot faster that way sometimes.
