Problem Customising Clock Faces Since WOS 2.2

Hi,

Last night I wanted to check the phase of the moon for no real reason. The quickest way to do this was to switch to the astronomy clock face and click the moon view button. however, I noticed that the description for the images of the Moon, Earth and solar system was no longer being spoken by Voiceover. So I decided to go and customise the clock face to see if that fixed the problem. I was surprised to see that the astronomy face no longer offered the customise option, only activate and delete. I flicked through a few other faces, and found that some of them no longer allowed customisation, while others still did.

Has anyone else noticed this change? I have powered off the watch and restarted it again, but this has made no difference. I'm hoping it's a bug which Apple can fix in an update, because not being able to customise some of these faces is a real pain.

Hi,

I had never before played with the Watch Faces that you mentioned but, after reading your post, found the same as you. The Lunar Face gave no description of what was on the screen, other than announcing the buttons.
I did notice, however, that if you enable the Lunar complication on the Modular face, I used the large, central complication, that Watch OS announced information about the lunar cycle.

Hi, I've been aware of the moon phase complication on other faces. The problem really was two fold. first that not only does the Moon complication of the astronomy face not speak, but neither do the Earth or solar system ones. They did used to, because I used the Earth one while cruising in the Mediterranean last summer. It rotates the view of the earth to keep your current location centred and the description used to say the current longitude and latitude. Now, none of the three speaks at all on the astronomy face. But moreover, I am no longer able to customise the astronomy or solar faces at all. Now, I'm not 100% sure I used to be able to customise them before, but looking at them, they do both seem to have complications that logically ought to be customisable, such as the date and so on. I'd like to know if there is anyone out there who hasn't upgraded their Watch to OS 2.2 yet, and see if these faces are indeed customisable, and whether the astronomy face options speak their descriptions.

I am actually still running Watch OS 2.1, and I did look at the astronomy clock face. Just like on Watch OS 2.2, you can not customize it, but as you did remember, it does describe the earth, moon, and solar system on Watch OS 2.1.

Just confirming that it is also the case here. It doesn't read the details at the astronomy face, can't customise them either.
