Just a discussion on watch faces

watchOS and Apple Watch Apps

Hello AppleVis members,

I was just wondering: which is your favorite watch face on the Apple Watch and watchOS, and which one do you usually daily drive? Why do you choose this watch face?

I was also wondering if any of you are aware of interactive watch faces on watchOS, for example, Astronomy and Solar Dial. Have you tried them, and what is your opinion about them?

My personal favorites are:

1. World Time: my current daily, everyday watch face.
2. Solar Dial: the watch face I use during Sleep Focus.
3. GMT: which I use occasionally on and off.

What are your favorite watch faces? Looking forward to your participation.

Because I can't see the watch face at all, the only difference they have to me is the number of complications they can hold. So I use the default Wayfinder on my Ultra because it seems to have the most available.

Sorry, a boring answer I know.

Wow, that's a good watch face.

Just to clarify, I am a full VoiceOver user as well. I don't benefit at all from the watch face's aesthetic appeal; I'm just saying that all the watch faces I use are very good, in my personal opinion. I don't want to be confused with a low-vision user who can actually see the watch face.
And a slight correction: it is not just the complications that benefit VoiceOver users. Many interactive watch faces are fully accessible with VoiceOver, including all the ones I have mentioned above.

I use it pretty much exclusively, since it can hold the most complications.

Apologies, I somehow only read the first part of your post. I didn't really know that some watch faces were interactive. I'm not sure exactly what you would do with them but I will check out the ones you mention and maybe it will make sense.

Forgot which one, but I think it can fit up to five complications. My watch is charging now and I feel lazy to check. But for me a good face is the face that has many complications (no pun intended).

I hadn't realised that you could change watch faces on focus. (I just had a look after mentioned it - for anyone wondering, it's under Focus Settings, not under the Watch app).

That's a pretty nice feature. I could imagine using different complications for work vs sleep vs normal.

I have the Ultra 3 with its always-on display, so I use the X-Large face without any complications and the time in purple, which is my favorite color. This allows anyone near me to read the time on my watch by just looking at it. I have very little use for complications, and when I do need them it's usually just the compass. The Ultra models also have the action button, which these days I have permanently set to start and stop recording a voice memo, so no need for extra complications acting as shortcuts.

I just use the default modular face, with about 4 or 5 complications its a really solid option.

Like that one, have several pictures of Bella the cat. I also use sometimes Mickey mouse. Hope OS 27 have more faces.
