Hello everyone,
i wonder whether anyone can help me with the following two questions about an Apple Watch Series 4? i'm running Watch OS 5.01, and have the cellular option with mobile data enabled.
1. There appears to be a new haptic indicator and I can't work out what it is. When I touch the short side of the watch nearest the digital crown (so if you're wearing it on your left wrist, that's the short side of the rectangle facing away from your body) the watch taps my wrist. I don't know what it is indicating, and nothing comes up on the screen. Is this something new? any idea what it's all about?
2. My watch seems to have destroyed receipt of my notifications. My email accounts are no longer sending alerts to my iPhone or watch. I can only get them to work if I have the iPhone unlocked, in which case they appear on the iPhone as normal and not on the watc (the behaviour I would expect with an unlocked iPhone). Without a watch, as you probably know, there will be an alert if an email is sent from an Exchange account or iCloud, even if the iPhone's screen is locked. I've tried everything I can think of: getting the watch to mirror the iPhone, custom notifications, changing how they appear, and so forth, but nothing happens. I've tried putting the watch into airplane mode, and hte notifications still don't appear on the iPhone even then. This is happening with all the accounts from which I would normally receive notifications. Any thoughts? i can confirm that all other notifications work fine. Apologies in advance if I have rather garbled the description of what is going on here, but I feel like I've been trying so many things that I'm going crazy with this particular issue.
