Hi
For Christmas, I got an Apple Watch. I’m having trouble with dictation in messages on the watch; it seems to only transcribe the first couple of words I say, and not the whole message. When dictating, voice-over makes a sound every few seconds, which I’m not sure whether or not this is affecting things. Could anyone give me some advice/tips/best practice for dictation on the watch? It’s worth noting I’m running watchOS 4.2
Happy Christmas if you’re celebrating

RE: Apple Watch Dictation
The one thing I have noticed with my watch is that you have to make sure to wait until you feel the double tap on your wrist before talking. Remember, the watch has to communicate with the phone so it takes just a bit more time than you might think. Otherwise, there shouldn't be any issues with dictation.
Congratulations on your new device. I hope you enjoy your as much as I do mine.
I wait for the double
I wait for the double vibration, and then start speaking. It only seems to pick up the first 2-4 words
Wait
Try waiting a couple of seconds because sometimes it speaks when it’s dictating. What an awesome christmas gift! I enjoy my watch and this is a brilliant device, especially ifv you are on the go, but it is also good for being at home when you have your phone somewhere where you cannot reach and you can take calls on your watch. I am not entirely sure about your dictation issue. Sometimes my watch speaks while dictating and I have to wait until the rest of the text comes and then I can hit send.
applewatch
after you double tap on the dictate button then wait for couple of seconds then start talking continuously then doubletap again to stop dictation then everything should have appear on the watch screen.
Awesome Christmas gift! congradulation! enjoy! I love my applewatch so the device is awesome.
