Hi all. Using Series8 and watch OS 9.4 I think? Anyway when I was flicking through the control center, it says announce message switch button off. I tried double tapping, nothing done. Can anyone understand why this is or if it were on, would it help us somehow? Thanks.

I presume it's for…
I presume it's for announcing notifications when airpods are connected.
One thing that's weird about that toggle is that it comes back every OS update, even though I've specifically turned it off in my notification center settings.
Another weird thing
Thanks for replying. The other weird thing is it isn't even dimmed, so in theory it should be a toggle. Here's hoping the next os or even watch os 10 will let us change sounds like the messages one if we have specific sounds assigned to contacts on our phone, we get that same one. I mean the same ding is voice mail, message and, I think that's it thought there was a third thing lmao. Have a good one.
sounds
The sad thing is that apple call themselves better in coming out with new things yet galaxy watches that where you can make sounds unique. ringtones, messages, and notifications.
Want Apple to focus on software
This is my biggest gripe. I resisted the watch forever because it was a shiny thing. Now because I have it, I don't mind supporting the ecosystem. I do mind they have forgotten voiceover, sold out for technology which is years old, only because it supports more languages which need to be supported. If they worked on Alex, and Vicky and other voices they came up with, really put themselves back into the software market and focused on building quality hardware like Macs and watches, I'd have a whole lot less of a complaint with them. I know tech companies beg, borrow and steel from each other that's no secret. But at some point, there's got to be a competitive truce. sure you can like Galaxy watches there's nothing wrong with that, nor is there if you like Apple. Just do a better job promoting your devices and stand behind your product. Stop hiding behind the smoke screen of accessibility and "We want to make things usable for everyone..."
