Adding & removing items from the Apple Watch control center on Watch OS 10

Hi all,

I don’t know if I’m missing something or what, but I’m unable to add/remove items from the control center using VoiceOver on an S9 Apple Watch running Watch OS 10.1.1.

To edit the control center, I press the side button on the Apple Watch, and I double tap on the edit button. I can move items in the control center, but I cannot add or remove items. I tried the double tap on the activate rotor option, the drag and drop, a triple tap to see more options, there is no way, as far as I can see to move items in or out the control center when using VoiceOver.

I turned off VoiceOver on the Apple Watch and checked with someone sighted and it was possible to add or remove item from the control center when VoiceOver is off.

Any clue?

Thanks!

Have you tried customizing the Control Center through the Watch app on your iPhone? Sometimes making changes there can be easier than doing it directly on the watch, especially with VoiceOver.

Also, it's strange that the options to add or remove items aren't accessible with VoiceOver on. This might be an oversight in the Watch OS update. It could be worth reporting to Apple as a potential accessibility issue. They're usually pretty good at looking into these things.

Cheers!

FYI, the issue is now solved with Watch OS 10.2. In the VO rotor, when editing the control center, there is now an option to add the item if it is out of the control center or to remove it if the item is part of it. @William Garcia: I tried to customize the control center from the Watch app on the iPhone, it is unfortunately no longer possible to customize the control center this way. Anyway, thanks for the suggestion! At least, I can now add/remove items from the control center on my Apple Watch!
