Hello
I am thinking of buying Apple TV. I have some questions before I place the order:
1. Can I install apps like YouTube and Facebook?
2. Is VoiceOver comparable in terms of functionality and usability to the equivalent VO iPadOS and iOS?
3. How can I connect it to my TV? My TV has HDMI input ports and USB as well, it does not have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
Please also recommend which variant to get.
Thanks

Apple TV
There are some rumours circulating that a new Apple TV will be coming out soon. Given that it's three years since we saw the last one come out, it is about due. I'm not saying that you necessarily want to buy the new one, it may not have anything new to offer us apart from a faster processor and maybe more storage. They're particularly talking about it being good for gaming. But it may reduce the prices of the existing hardware.
You connect the Apple TV to your television using the HDMI cable.
I have an Apple TV fourth-generation and it works just fine. The only thing that it lacks that the 4K version has that I'm personally interested in is support for Dolby Atmos. I haven't really looked into this, but I've heard from people who have Dolby Atmos capable equipment that it is amazing.
Voice-over works pretty well, and has been improving. It's a little bit different to use, as you are using a remote control which has a much smaller touch area. it also has a different screen layout from iOS devices, and typing on it can be a bit tedious. You can type on your phone instead, which is a lot easier.
One thing to keep in mind is that just because an app is accessible on the iPhone, doesn't necessarily mean that the app is also accessible on Apple TV. I've seen this happen with a few apps.
Not all apps are available for Apple TV. I'm not sure if Facebook is, I don't remember. Certainly, I have not seen any VPN apps for Apple TV at all. I wouldn't be surprised if Apple will not allow these.
Hope this helps.
ATMOS and DTS:X
I have a home theatre set up with 7.1.4 surround sound, and I definitely recommend getting the full set up if you can afford it. ATMOS and DTS:X take immersion to a new level that to me was well worth the expense.
Meanwhile, Apple TV is supposed to deliver 4k and ATMOS if you have the right set up. You can find articles on the net about this.
Enjoy!
