I am a new crave tv subscriber here in Canada; crave is accessible through apple tv but in order to sign in you must be able to read the seven character code, usually a combination of letters and numbers which in most cases apple tv tries to pronounce as a word, which comes up on the option to sign into crave TV. Once you have the code you then must enter it correctly on the website in order to complete the sign in process. My question is how do you identify these characters by reading them individually when using the remote on the apple tv. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Codes
I don't think you can read them as individual characters. I think you might consider slowing down the voiceover speech and then trying to memorize them long enough to enter the codes. It's not ideal, but at this time, I think it's the best that you're going to get with the AppleTV.
Eventually, by using the back
Eventually, by using the back key and going back in you do get a code which is pronounced correctly; but it might take twenty times before you get one--drives me nuts! My wife is sighted so she can read me the code but it seems this comes up every day or two when you are obligated to sign into Crave TV again so its driving her nuts too, especially since we have to apple tv boxes. Also the volume thing is an issue for me too! Do you happen to know the proper email address so I can send this to Apple as an issue? Thanks.
Marc
The email address
The email address is accessibility@apple.com Hope this helps.
How I get around it is:
I open up notepad or another text editor and write down the code as I hear it. I have voice over set to it's default speaking rate and usually have no problems.
