Hello,
These are probably silly questions but here goes:
I have a question about apple tv and cable providers, I've noticed so far a lot of the networks I can get through my apple tv by using my log in info from my local cable provider. My question is if I were to cut the cord I'm assuming I can still keep the cable for my high speed internet since my ISP and tv are through the same provider, and would I still be able to access content through my provider through my apple tv with my log in info? I'm guessing my answer is yes to both questions but just wanted to be sure before making a decision.
Thanks.

Not true in some cases
There are some cases that you have to have the channel in order to access the service on an Apple tv. Case in point HBO, or show time. So just be careful on what services you want to access and find out for sure if they will work in your area for Apple tv or not. For instance my ABC affiliate will not work in this area at this time. I wish they did, but, they don't. So you just have to be careful on what you want to access through the Apple tv.
Probably won't work
When you go to activate the channel on Apple TV, it verifies that the channel you want to watch is included in your cable subscription. If it's not, it will not allow you to activate the channel on your Apple TV.
I just upgraded from a third to a fourth generation Apple TV and dealt with this issue again.
Happy new year!
Accessing Apple TV Channels
Yes, you could keep your internet through your current company, and ditch the cable subscription. No, you will not be able to log in and access channels on the Apple TV once your cable subscription ends.
