Muting Apple TV during playback

When my Apple TV is playing music, VoiceOver speaks the name of each track when it starts playing. Is there an option to mute the speech, as there is on iOS with a triple-finger-double-tap. The other method would be to completely turn off VoiceOver but there doesn't seem to be an elegant way to turn VoiceOver back on again afterwards. This is really more of an issue when using AirPlay to stream podcasts from my iOS devices when ATV announces what it's playing every few minutes (yes I know there's a Podcasts app on the ATV but it doesn't allow for variable playback speed that Instacast and Downcast do). Any thoughts or suggestions welcome. Thanks Mark
