I'm like you in the since that I love listening to my tunes & music ON MY iPad! While I do not have an Afple TV., I do have some wonderful suggestions for various apps that you should try & see if you can find in the app store for your Apple TV.
1. Pandora
This is my favorite! I find it to be pretty accessible but the ui. is a little tricky until you get used to it. They have their own channels, but they have channels for your favorite artists too!
2. ooTunes
This is a good app if you want to listen to radio stations on regular radio. The developer made this afp have full voiceover support. I like it though because it's crowd-sourced. What I mean is that if ther is a station that's not in the database, you can reach out to him, & he'll put it in the database. I've had contact with this guy a few times & he's incredibly nice & helpful!
3. Iheart Radio
I like this app but the ui. is a little tricky. This app has some radio stations as well as channels for artists & ginres.
4. RadioTunes
I like this app because for the most part, I've found it to be accessible. The ui. is ok but the only annoyance I have is it runs in portrait & Im used to landscape home button on the right. They have over 90 channels! They've got everything from baroque era to 80s, relaxation to today's hits!
All of these apps are free downloads. However both Pandora & RadioTunes have a premium where you can listen without ads. Pandora's is $5 a month. I'm not sure what RadioTunes charges.
I hope I was able to help you! I hope you can find at least one of these in your Apple TV. app store! Enjoy listening to your music!
