Hello all and thank you for reading this.
My husband is visually impaired, (considered legally blind) and because of this, has trouble watching anything on our large flat screen TV. He needs to be really close to it, and can't see the whole picture at the same time. He has a 12.5 " iPad and is VERY comfortable using it for reading books and watching Netflix, Hulu, and others streaming services. The problem: we like to watch movies and shows together! I purchased an Apple TV after the customer support rep ensured me that you could simultaneously stream a show on your iPad and the TV at the same time. I clarified this with him: My husband can watch it on his iPad and I could watch it on the flat screen TV at the same time, right? Unfortunately, this isn't the case. We tried to watch three or four different shows and once you mirror to the TV, the iPad picture goes away and you only see the show on the TV.
Does anyone know of an alternate solution? I though about trying to mirror from MY iPad to two separate devices at the same time, but I couldn't find a way to do this.
Help!!!
