What is it about Apple?

Part of the reason people get excited is that, for better or worse, Apple has the ability to profoundly affect markets with its products, such as the computer industry with the Mac and its new method of input, the music industry with the iPod and iTunes Store, and most of all, the smartphone market with the iPhone, multitouch, and the AppStore. For this reason, Apple fans, market analysts, and general tech enthusiasts pay close attention to what Apple is doing and how it might affect them as users or competitors.

Also, Apple's legendary level of secrecy has given rise to a number of sites devoted to reporting the latest Apple rumors. In some circles, it has become almost like a competition to see which source can provide the most accurate information.

Finally, Steve Jobs was able to electrify audiences with not only what Apple products were capable of doing, but with his presentation style, particularly his famous, "One more thing," line that brought audiences to the edge of their seats.

Here's why I'm looking forward to Wwdc. I have a few reasons. And I kind of agree with the previous poster. Look at what Apple did by eliminating the home button on iphone 7. Now, Samsung's Galaxy S8 has no physical home button. That's just 1 example.

But, here's my reasons for looking forward to Wwdc.

1. I'm an Apple fan. I like Apple, and follow various news outlets to see what's coming in particular with ios since that's what I use.
2. I'm a techie, so I like to keep up with this from a tech nerd perspective. I actually thought about putting my screen name as something tech loving related, but decided against it. Another story for another time.
3. I'm interested in improvements or new features that will be coming to ios, and I can't wait to try them on my ipad!
4. This is kind of a primary reason. I heally like looking on here to know what accessibility improvements are coming and also if any bugs will be fixed. I do not update my device without coming here first. Plus, I use Siri a lot, as I'm sure most people do, but being a blind person, I use Siri pretty often. Yes, I can use voiceover, but whether it's just because I'm feeling lazy, or it's just easier and faster to use Siri to say send an email. I hope there are improvements to her as well.
All that, and... well, I'm just excited to see what Apple has up its sleeve. I reas articles, but I take anyjhing leading up to any of their events with a grain of salt. Those are my reasons for looking forward to the big event tomorrow. And while I won't be watching it live, I'll definetely check here for updates!

I agree with the above comments. Although I may not quite be an Apple fan boy just yet, I think I'm getting there. I've had my MacBook Air since the end of 2013, and have been quite impressed with it. There are some improvements I'd like to see, mainly better native .pdf support. For whatever reason I just cannot for the life of me figure out how to use the 3rd-party apps which I've tried, probably with the exception of Adobe Acrobat DC. But the other reason I am going to try and tune in tomorrow is that I've been thinking of getting an iPhone. My father tells me that I'm eligible now for a cell phone upgrade. My current cell phone does not talk, and that's one of the reasons I want an iPhone. So hopefully I can get some good information tomorrow from the event. I'm also a tech geek. I love hearing about all this accessibility stuff, and yes for the record once again I think Apple has done a nice job in that department.

I believe that you can stream the keynote through Apple's WWDC app, where you can also stream workshops throughout the event. I am not 100% certain on this but I believe you can. I've downloaded it and I know you can stream last year's content, so I am guessing that you will eventually be able to watch this year's content as well. I normally listen to the TWiT podcast, more specifically the "TWiT Live" podcast that will cover the keynote.

Speaking for the post, I myself look forward to hear what kind of advancements Apple makes to their products. Like other companies, some years are great and some others aren't, but at least it breeds competition throughout the landscape. I myself am hoping that new MacBook Air's or MacBooks are announced this year as I am looking at buying my very first Mac. Thankfully this site exists to help me figure out how to use a Mac. I'll definitely be keeping my ears open and listening.

Hello. I've heard that 9To5Mac will be streaming the event.

Also, I don't mean to alarm anyone, but I heard something on a news outlet )I can't remember which one) that I hope to goodness isn't true. Like I said, I don't want to alarm anyone, and I'm taking this with a grain of salt until I hear otherwise, but I seen something about Apple possibly discontinuing ipad minis. I hope to gosh that isn't true because I use a mini 4th Gen.

Don't want to ararm anyone, but I'm just stating a fiece of news that I heard. If it's fact or fiction remains to be seen. I usually listen to twit.tv too for afterthoughts or a breakdown of what's on the agenda.

Apple online store is down, so we will probably see new hardware of some sort. I'm not in the market for a new MacBook or iPad though, but I'm still curious to see what they do.

I'm crossing my fingers for a new MacBook Air!

After watching today's keynote I got the sense that Siri isn't getting the update it needs. Did anyone else get this impression? Of course it is way too soon to tell but just what I am feeling.

I watched most of today's WWDC, and liked it. It was cool to hear Siri speak in Chinese, plus the other stuff. I'm of course looking forward to all the new and improved stuff that is coming to the Mac. In addition, I want that iPhone! I just think it will make life even a bit easier for me. I'm not the only one saying this either.

Is there a round up of the event on this site that I've missed? I didn't see one at time of writing, but might be being premature of course. New iPhone? I'm keen to know more about this as well as any other highlights.
