What are everybody’s favorite iPhone cases for the iPhone? I am generally curious to know?
I will start this with some of my own favorites, as I have a few of them.
The first one that I like, is the Esr cloud silicone case for the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Not only do I like it, because it is about half the cost of the Apple Silicon case, but I absolutely love the kickstand that is built into the camera ring. It is a genius invention.
I also really like the spigen ultra hybrid case, particularly the version with the matte finish. The buttons are nice and tactile, and the MagSafe compatibility is amazing. It is nice and strong. I could also say the same thing for the silicone case that I mentioned above.
Now, I will leave it up to you guys to answer this in the comments.

Yeah, I'm looking for a new case. I've got a feeling the case I have on my iPHone 15 pro is interfering a little with the bluetooth connection to H chip devices, AirPods pro 2 and max as well as the 2024 Beats Pill. Does anyone else get a slight crackle from time to time with these? It's like a tiny skip, dropped package, or something similar.

I just use a local store brand case I don't even know what the name would be. It was about $15. It is just OK I don't dislike it or overly like it compared to my old case the nice thing is that the buttons feel kinda like a walkmans. Period period I do however I like this case a lot more then the previous one I had which I actually got from Apple. It was Apple's clear case with a graphic of New York on the back. On that one I found the buttons clicked too easily like I would be putting it in my pocket and always hitting the power button. I guess cases where the buttons just out even a millimetre more we'll have that. On my current case the buttons are rubbery and bulbus but somehow do not protrude as much

Overall, probably the Urban Armor Gear Monarch. That was my previous case. Yes, it's expensive, but the design was amazing, the protection was amazing, and I'm told my gripes with the case were fixed in the second revision. My main gripes were MagSafe unreliability, and the lack of an action button. It was really protective, and honestly, I love the grip even now, but I can't justify buying another one. Second favorite is what I'm using now. It's ugly. It makes my phone look like a slab, but it's really protective. It's called the ESR Armor Tough Case. It's got all-round protection with a screen protector built in, and lens covers. The only thing missing is port blockers, since I mainly charge using MagSafe, but I'm not complaining.

Back when I purchased my iPhone 6 Plus, I was looking for a tough but not too bulky case and landed on the Spigen Tough Armour, and have been buying those for pretty much every phone since then.

When I got my iPhone 15 Pro Max though, I also got Spigen's tempered glass screen protector and camera lens protectors.

I know there are plenty of great options out there, but like my grandpa used to say... "If it ain't broke, don't fix it", so keep using them.

The link below is the case I currently have on my iPhone SE 3. The case is clear with rubberized edges, and shows off the iPhone's lovely red coloring. It also allows a non-MagSafe iPhone to use MagSafe charging. :D

Disclaimer: They also have cases for iPhone 15 & 16 models. :)

@bryan, I am assuming that the rubber on the sides is for grip?
I did see the case on Amazon, and it definitely is surprisingly affordable. I like clear cases.

I've been through quite a journey of cases.
used to love otterbox defender, used those from my 4S to 12 pro.
halfway through i realised I wasn't getting magsafe and wanted to get into that but the defenders didn't support magsafe then so i started using a casekoo cloud kush case. it was fine but not super protective.
It broke last month and I was at disneyworld with a close friend of mine who worked there so got 40% discount on disney stuff so I got a disney elsa case for cheap, but it broke within a month. this was for my current 15 pro.
I just got my favourite case 3 days ago. it's a dBrand ghost case. it's a clear case, nice tough plastic, rubbery sides, nice buttons... i'll be using this on successive iphones as long as I can.

Yes. Rubbery edges are for grip. I forgot to mention this, but the back of the case also has small rubbery crescent shaped bumpers, for lack of a better description, that keep the actual back from getting scratched up while it is laying face up on a surface.

I imagine it also helps protect if dropped. 😅

Using a dBrand grip case, better grip than any case than I've ever had before and the magsafe support is possibly even stronger than without the case. I was previously using an Otterbox Symmetry which was good but I much prefer the dBrand, when I tried the Otterbox again out of curiosity it felt uncomfortably slippery by comparison and I'm certain that's just because I'm so used to all the microtexturing on the Grip case.

Got the Spigen Tough Armour for my iPHone 15 pro. It's really good so thank you for the suggestion.

Yeah I know, expensive. But also, with the exception of the stupid new FiveWoven cases, gloriously minimal and non-invasive, just protecting the edges, corners, and back camera array. No interference with MagSafe, of course. iPhone 15 Pro Max.

I use Casemate cases. They have fun (although non-tactile designs) that overlay the color of your phone with glitter, patterns, etc. I have also used Speck cases which are protective and have fun designs. I bought all my cases from Amazon and they are easy enough to find at discount, even for the latest model iPhones.

Yeah you can find some really good deals on smartphone cases on Amazon. 😎👍

I just switched to spigen. I used otterbox cases from my 4s up until my 16. The otterbox cases deffinately have went down hill with the 16 model cases. The corners of the phone were slipping out too easily and they no longer come with a screen protector. The magnets weren't very strong either. The thing that I hope they fix regarding a lot of the cases for the 16 models is the new camera button is exposed. I don't know why they just can't have a covering over that button like the others bbut I'm assuming they are still figuring out how to design that.

By Evermore2020 on Sunday, January 26, 2025 - 23:15

@troy I also have a case from Spigen.
I have also seen complaints about OtterBox and how the opening for the camera is exposed. At least the company that I mentioned above designed the case with an actual button for the camera.
As for me, I like phone cases with strong magnets for MagSafe. And Spigen definitely delivers on that for sure. I also really like Esr especially the silicone case, because of the fact that the camera ring also doubles as a kickstand. And is considerably less than the Apple Silicon case for those who like those kind of cases.

This reminds me of the old spec cases, way back when during the days of the iPhone 5. When I had my iPhone 5s, I had a Speck Pixel case. Don't let that name fool you. It was an iPhone case, nothing to do with the Google Pixel.
Anyway, like the person mentioned above with the OtterBox case, these cases were garbage with the 5S, as the phones could practically fall out of the cases if you were not careful.

By Icosa on Monday, January 27, 2025 - 06:15

Be careful with Otterbox cases if you're buying on a third party seller like via Amazon. I didn't realise for a couple years my first Otterbox Symmetry case was a counterfeit, the real one I got later had notable differences including being a slimmer case in general, and actually having magsafe magnets. It's surprising how easy it is for some factory in China to churn out cheap knock offs, and China explicitly doesn't enforce copyrights or patents from other countries.
