Hi I just downloaded the new podcasts app from Apple and I want to get more into listening to podcasts. I've found a few that I like, (mostly sports related), but I want to find some disability related podcasts. I've heard of some good ones before, but I don't remember the names of any of them. Can you help me out? Thanks in advance

Of course you should start with the Applevis podcast. Tech Access Weekly is on hiatus, but their Demo Cast is still active. ACB'ss Main Menu Serotec's Sero Talk Freedom Scientific FSCast (if you use things like Jaws) Viewpoints Blind Bargains A few that are dormant, but worth checking out old episodes All With My iPhone Blind Cool Tech There are lots of others i can't think of right now.
Cool, thanks. These should keep me occupied for a while...

If I may be so boldd. Try accessible devices. They talk about blindness items and apps. I think they are quite good. Oh, um, did I mention I am the producer? Lol the big R

I would like to take this opportunity to recommend the Blind Access Journal blog and podcast, where we advocate greater tech accessibility for the blind. In recent podcasts, my friend Allison and I have been demonstrating and teaching iOS apps. You may want to add http://blindaccessjournal.com/rss to your podcast player.
I have a podcast as well, but it's currently on hold due to other commitments. Hopefully I'll get a new episode out. If you want to hear what I've got so far, you can visit my blog at http://www.ksapergia.net/podcast/. I don't know if this will work in the RSS feed, but I also have my blog set to also add posts from AudioBoo, which I record on from time to time using either my iPod Touch or the regular computer.
Hi, Those are some great disability and blindness-specific ones, and I frequent nearly all of them on occasion. I also find David Woodbridge's and Mike Origo's Mac demo podcasts especially helpful. When I find a new show, I like to jump in at the latest episode and go from there. Usually podcasts are contained such that it is not necessary to start from app 1 and go all the way through, unless you are an OCD perfectionist like me. :) The other thing I'd say is follow your interests, far and wide. If people are geekily into it, there is at least one or maybe more shows devoted to it. I listen faithfully to "Today in iOS," a news and info podcast about all things related to, you guessed it, iOS. But I love astronomy and aviation, and listen to "Planetary Radio," and one about airplanes, too. Hope this fills your phone with goodies. Every so often I have to remember to stop and delete old or partially listened to parts, as I start them on the go and finish when I get home. It's the new form of 30's and 40's radio, in my opinion.

Being a long time listener to podcasts here is a quick list of my faces. Triple Click Home, Sero Talk, AppleVis, TWIT, Blind Access World, Apple and other accessible technology by David Woodbridge and now for the non tech ones FitzDog Radio, Bill Burrs Monday Morning Podcast, The Adam Carolla Show, Baseball Today, Fantasy Focus, The Michael Kay Show, PTI, ESPN First Take. And all be on the lookout coming end of July or the beginning of August for Gotham Comedy Radio a podcast we are launching here in NYC where we will be interviewing the biggest names in comedy for a rare look behind the scenes in to your favorite comedians. You can get the latest news about the podcast on Twitter at @GothamComedyRad

Another one worth a listen is the App Store Pundit Podcast, which does short but detailed reviews of iOS apps. Although it doesn't appear to promote itself as being for VoiceOver users, each review generally states whether the app works with VoiceOver.

I had thought that this podcast was dormant, but a new episode was posted just this  week.

iBlink radio Everybody should have this, this is a product of serotek. It is designed especially from the blind for the blind. It has basically all the podcasts you can think of especially the ones from appleVis
I think everyone should've also stated that, iBlink radio app has all the podcasts mentioned on this page. It is great because it has everything you need arranged very well and also has other resources like reading services and links to other sites like ACB and NFB. And on the link of national Federation of the blind, you can request a free white cane!
Hi all, These are the general Mac and iOS podcasts that I listen to all the time: The Apple Byte Apple Keynotes The Cultcast iPad Today Mac OS Ken Mac Power Users MacBreak weekly, Maccast for Mac Geeks Macworld Podcast TUAW update (The Unofficial Apple Web blog) We Have Communicators I also follow most of the other podcasts on the TWIT Network (besides iPad Today and MacBreak Weekly) through their own TWIT iOS app. David
