Hi all. Subject says it all. What is the Sticky Header for? I'm referring to the toggle switch now found at the beginning of this website. It doesn't seem to do much of anything for me when turned on.

When the sticky header is enabled, the main menu and search field remain visible at the top of the screen even as the user scrolls down the page. This is a useful accessibility feature for low vision users as it allows them to always have access to the main navigation without having to scroll back up. On the AppleVis website, the sticky header is only supported when accessing the site on a desktop browser, not a mobile browser. This sticky header will not offer any benefit to somebody who relies solely on a screen reader to navigate websites, as the screen reader will read out the menu links and search regardless of whether they are fixed to the top of the screen. The sticky header is intended to aid low vision users who still rely heavily on visual cues by keeping the main navigation always visible.

Holger, I think you are totally blind, am I right? If so, you aren't supposed to notice anything, david said it's for low vision users. :)

Thanks David, you answered my question. I'm not in the least bit bothered by it, but was just curious. As always I greatly appreciate all the hard work which has gone into this website.

Yep. Would say blind as a bat but they can see.
