Hello Apple Vis,
Does anyone have any recommendations on where I could go t put a mac on Lay Away. I don't want to go through with financing as the interest rate is pretty ridiculous. Plus student loans are also working on being paid off. But I need a computer. So I'm looking for a place I could put a Mac on lay away. It would be nice if it is one of the 2015 models as I kind of need the physical keys. I don't want to get a 2016 model unless I really need too.
Thanks in advanced.

I honestly don't know anything about getting a mac on lay away. However, I can tell you, once you get the touchh bar set up on a 2016 MacBook pro, it's actually a lot easier. Plus, you can also use VO+ the number row to do what you could do previously with function keys.
Also, you can get a 2016 13 inch model with the function keys still.

Try going tothe Apple store. I'd see what they say when you speak with someone there. I'm not sure either, but that's the 1st place I'd try.

Hello,

The only places I can think of that offers lay away are the big box stores like Walmart and Target. While they carry Apple products, they are limited to IOS devices, Apple TV and small accessories. Iā€™m sure if someone knows otherwise, they will post.

If you really need a Mac, two things you can do.

You can look at stores or credit companies that offers zero interest financing. Paypal offers zero interest if paid in full with up to 24 months to pay. And plenty of vendors now accept paypal. You can also go to best buy. I got a promo in the mail and they offer 18 months zero interest for purchases above certain amount.

Or you can shop for a used macbook. A good MBP 2012 could be purchased for around 400 USD. Then when more money becomes available, purchase a new macbook and sell the used one you purchased.

Are you looking to buy a macbook because your existing keyboard is faulty? If so, take it to a local computer shop and have them look at it. Most computer shops knows Macs and they charge way less than Apple.

HTH and good luck.
