Hi. The iOS 7.1.1 jailbreak came out today. I am wondering if any one has tried it yet? Is it accessible? Does it work with windows XP? Please note there is only a windows version no Mac version yet. Thank you. http://pangu.io

hi. I have heard from credible sources that the jailbreak is both inaccessible and questionable. it does work, but apparently it also installs some weird Chinese pirate app store thing. Enstall at your own risk, if you can even get it to work. I hope this piece of software can be improved on and that accessibility will come soon!!!!!

Hi,
there is a checkbox in the tool that if you uncheck it allows people not to install the pirate store.
However regarding accessibility yes it is pretty inaccessible, however I was able to get my phone jailbroken without help, though more buy luck.
My method was to first adjust the phones date manually as you have to do that in order to jailbreak and you have to disable automatic setting, I did this before running the tool so I wouldn't be prompted.
After running the tool I set my jaws screen echo to all, then began pressing shift and tab together to move across the screen, and pressing spacebar after every press of shift tab.
I knew something had happened when jaws began reading me Chinese characters.
At that point I waited a few minutes and kept looking around the screen for the pangu app, once I found it I tapped on it on the phone, and then again waited, unfortunately jaws will give you no progress indicators etc, the only way I was able to tell the jailbreak was done was when I eventually saw the cydia icon.
So yes it can be done without help, though if you want to be sure you uncheck the box to install the pirate store and to get help monitoring progress I suggest getting sighted help.

Hi. I found this guide on how to use the jailbreak tool even though it is not in english. It explains what to do. I am not sure if it will help us blind and low vision users or not, but you can try if you want. I may try, I have not decided if I will or not. I am not that good at the computer to begin with so the fact that the program is not english does not help. But the guide is english. However, I want to upgrade to 7.1.1 because the bug where new items in folders is not read is fixed. However, that for me is not worth losing a jailbreak over. Also, they say to set the date to june second, but does anyone know if that is 2014 or 2013 or what year it is? Hello.

First of all, is this jailbreak even safe? I mean it comes from some Chinese people or something which makes me wonder.
Second, I'll be waiting for the Mac OS X version of this which will hopefully but probably won't be more accessible than the windows version.

From what I have heard the jailbreak is safe. Just make sure to uncheck the box before clicking the jailbreak button to avoid getting the pirate stuff. I haven't decided if I'll bother yet, as there's not much difference between 7.0.6 which I'm on now, and 7.1.1 so can't decide if it's worth the effort. Even if I do, I'll probably at least wait until the next version of the jailbreak software though, as the hackers themselves have said there is an updated version on the way to fix a few issues.
Re a guide, Muzicruz has put a guide on this site today.

Hello.

Actually, I've decided that I really do want to jailbreak again.
So, does anyone know how to use this?
I connect my iPhone 5s to my Windows XP virtual machine with the cable and open the program.
However, I just get a bunch of weird text.
Pressing tab and shift tab or using NVDA object navigation doesn't reveal any controls.
So, how do I go about using this jailbreak?
Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.
