Hello. I and a friend of mine want to make a podcast of a game and don't know how to begin. Could someone give me some beginning steps. I don't know where to put it but know how to record and stuff. But I don't know how to proceed.
The way i tried to do it is go into any podcast & it will give you a message about posting podcasts and there's a link that says `click here to submit a podcast` or something alont those lines...click it and you will be met with a form where you can put your name, a description of the podcast, and attach the audio file. Sorry if i did not explain this well. Let me know if you need any more help.
I would have to email someone the podcast because I only have my iPhone and no computer and I am not sure attachments like that work but I can allways try.
I used Voice Memos, but I guess Dropbox would work too. When you submit audio there's a list of accessible file types, so it it falls under those then it's fine.
I use voice memoes but I upload them to dropbox and then I choose dropbox on the attach audio thing and choose the file' Can you do that without dropbox
First off, you may have a hard time recording in iOS. From what I understand, there is no way to capture system audio. This is due to Apple's tight restrictions on the operating system. This is probably a showstopper unless you want a very bad mono recording of a stereo game. I have also noticed that iOS recording apps don't seem to run all that well in the background. If they do, it seems like they stop when other things use the microphone or when other apps are launched. Again, the iOS audio system isn't as advanced as it could be if Apple lifted all the silly limitations. Your best bet is to use a patch cord and a computer to record the audio. This will create a nice clear stereo recording.
Regarding file uploads, I thought that was impossible in iOS. If Safari can't even do something as simple as download a file, it probably can't upload. If I'm wrong, please correct me. I use my iOS device, but when it comes to file operation and more serious stuff, I fall back to my much more reliable Mac. If I'm wrong about all this, please correct me. These have been my observations using the iOS operating system for the past 4 years. While it's fine for basic tasks like reading web pages and checking e-mail, it fails miserably at advanced audio recording and file management.
I did a test recording earlier today and it sounded good to me and this is not a sterio game. I think the sound was really great. I will record it on thuesday.

Icloud Drive
When I did it, I pressed share then upload to Icloud Drive. Then I could select it. I don't ever use Dropbox, so i don't know which way is easier.
