CarPlay and other related queries

Hi,
I have just got my new car, an SUV from TATA Motors India.
The car boasts of having IRA connectivity (which, in principle should allow me to control my car remotely with my iPhone and my Watch). The functionality contains (along with other things), GPS tracking Geo Fencing, speed limit setting etc. As I will rely heavily on my chauffeur, I thought it would be prudent to invest some more of my hard-earned cash.
It is my first car and I have absolutely no idea about apple car play. Can someone help me find the proper documentation and guides?
Is anyone using apple car play? what may we do with it? For instance, can we use Apple Maps or google maps for navigation purposes with VO? Will VO output through car speakers while using CarPlay?
These and similar questions need some answering from those of you who are using it.
The car boasts of wireless apple car play, so, will it work with bluetooth or WIFI? the car also has its own SIM card for the IRA connectivity, so, will it take DATA from the Car Sim, or my own mobile service provider?
Please help, the car is ariving within three days and we are quite excited to use all the features with VO as both of us, me and my wife, are blind!
