An Apple Chuckle!

Hey All!
Never thought time will come and I visit the AppleVis homepage just to see what new bugs people are complaining about now.

Ever wondered how a member of the Apple Accessibility Team would react when they visit the AppleVis homepage? Well, let’s take a humorous look at it! 😄
Picture this: it’s a regular morning at Apple HQ, and one of the Accessibility Team members decides to pay a visit to AppleVis, the hub of all things Apple accessibility-related. Armed with their coffee and enthusiasm, they open up their web browser, and what do they see?
1. Safari Not Responding: Their eyebrows raise as they spot the first post. “Safari Not Responding,” it says. “Oh, the irony!” they chuckle, realizing that even the most finely tuned machines can have their off days.
2. Focus Issues: Scrolling down, they encounter another post about “Focus Issues.” “Focus, focus, where art thou?” they muse, sympathizing with the struggle of navigating a digital world.
3. Braille Connectivity Problem: Next up, “Braille Connectivity Problem” catches their eye. They can’t help but think, “Even Braille deserves to stay connected in this Wi-Fi-driven world!”
4. Bluetooth Speaker Audio Issue: “Bluetooth Speaker Audio Issue” follows suit. Our Apple Accessibility Team member can’t help but envision a tiny Bluetooth speaker with an attitude problem – “I won’t play nice today!”
5. Problem with the Phone App: “Problem with the Phone App” appears on the screen. They imagine a rebellious app icon refusing to make or receive calls – talk about a digital diva!
6. VoiceOver Stops Talking for No Apparent Reason: Lastly, they stumble upon a post titled “VoiceOver stops talking for no apparent reason.” They can’t help but shake their head and mutter, “VoiceOver, what are you up to now?”

In this hilarious journey through AppleVis, our Accessibility Team member realizes that the world of accessibility is filled with quirks, surprises, and moments that make them chuckle. They leave the website with a newfound appreciation for the challenges and triumphs faced by the AppleVis community.
So, next time you encounter an issue or a quirk in your Apple device’s accessibility features, remember – you’re not alone! Even the Apple Accessibility Team would find humor in the delightful chaos of the AppleVis homepage. 😄

Keep sharing your experiences, and let’s make the digital world accessible and fun for all!
Cheers! And Happy Bug Reporting!

The bad thing is that probably true. After the person closes the web page, he or she goes home and have a glass of wine and says "Glad I am not blind".

At least we did not get a, "..sucks to be you" remark. That is something, I suppose. đŸ€·đŸ»â€â™‚ïž

There are always going to be bugs in every system, every piece of software, etc. Honestly, I don't let these or any other bugs "bug" me much. I understand that nothing is perfect and that iOS is not the only thing with issues and just continue reporting any bugs I find. I know that these problems will be taken care of soon. Thank you for making me smile with your post. It is really funny. :-)

It might be a little optimistic to put the phrase very soon near the Safari not responding, focus bug, Bluetooth audio issue, text editing bugs etc. A little optimism never hurt anyone but how many years should that optimism carry us? Agreed though, a nice humorous look at the other side of the coin. I think Holgar was on the money with the first comment though. lol.

Well said fellow blindees. I actually had a good chuckle with this thread😂
This post, somehow, managed to sound refreshing.

Unfortunate that the thread contains a completely marmalised reference to Romeo and Juliet, albeit not in quotes. To clarify, wherefore does not mean where; it means why. There is no reason, in the play, for Juliet to ask where Romeo is; she knows where he is. By contrast, her whole probblem is why he is - why are you Romeo Montague, out of all the people you could have been?

Now let's imagine I'm the boss of Apple accessibility and the technician comes into my office, smirking away after having read the homepage of Applevis.

"oy oy, Dennis: and what are we smiling about? Get lucky last night, did you?"

"No, Sir, it's just I've been reading the Applevis homepage and..."

"Oh yes, that! i've been having a butcher's at it too! And it did cross my mind to sack the next person I saw who found the content amusing."

"But, but, but...."

"No buts. on your way."

That’s nice piece, mate. Thank you!

I agree with holger's comment. One thing to keep in mind however, is that all of the bugs mentioned above, do not have enough information. I mean, yeah, safari not responding... The problem is... there isn't enough information as to what triggers this bug, or when, or under what specific circumstances. Without information like this to pinpoint the bug excatly, of course this won't be an easy fix. If we could exactly pinpoint all of the above, then yes, this could be fixed, as apple would know how and what triggered this bug so that it could be fixed.

The above bugs are not exclusive list of long standing bugs, they have been going for years. Also me as a user can provide feedback and logs and screen recordings and rants on AppleVis, and this is something everyone has been doing for years, and this is where my role ends too. My role as a user of assistive device is the question of what, when, how, now Apple Accessibility Team at Apple has to figure out why and provide a fix.

As in, "Romio, Romio, wherefore art thou, (why are you,) Romio"?

Why did the iPhone with VoiceOver on go to therapy?
Because it had too many touchy issues it couldn’t focus and swipe under the rug!
