A long time ago I found that the apple music library was contained in CAF files and moved them all to a folder so I could use them for a podcast. I am not sure what happened to that folder but when I did a search for CAF files on my mac I was not able to find them. Can someone tell me how to get these files so I can place them in a folder and use them again? Thanks.

There is a music folder on the mac similar to the iTunes media folder on windows. Press command+spacebar and you will hear voiceover say "spotlight search," then type in music and press enter. You should be in the music folder.

yup! that's where I have looked but didn't see those files. i also searched for the .caf extention and didn't find anything. I'll look again. If anyone has those files on icloud or some storage space and can send me a link I'd love that. Thanks for a great suggestion.

From what I remember, you might need to go in to ~/Library and search for something like iLife or some other term. They should be in there.

From what you are all saying I'm wondering if I may have deleted it? I'm going to look again in the places suggested. If I redownload garage band will they return or is this a seperate package of music? Thanks.
