Hello. The last time I checked, Microsoft Word for Mac 2016 wouldn't let you type in documents. What do people think of this and how is your experience using Word?
Thanks

Hi there Becca!
I just got a new Mac last Friday and it came with MS Office 2016 on it. While I haven't tried to do anything really fancy I'm definitely able to enter text with no problems and the ribbon seems to work as well.
I'm planning on spending more time learning it and when I get the hang of it I'll be sure to let you know how it is.

Hello Mike.

That's definitely good news. I'm going to try it out for myself as well and see how it goes. Thank you.

Office 2016 has the beginnings of accessibility on OS X. You can type in documents, move around, use the ribbon, etc. However, a lot of the more advanced functions such as forms, styles, templates and the like do not necessarily read as they should. You'll get some feedback, however not necessarily the most useful feedback you could get.
This is the first release of Microsoft Office to be accessible on Mac, so I see this more as a promise of things to come than a workable solution at present. iWork's accessibility is still far beyond Office on OS X, however I am hopeful for the future of Office's accessibility as they have done a pretty good job with their iOS versions.

Hello all:

Very great news, so is there any improvements?
