Something strange is happening with my iCloud Drive folder on my Mac. Folders keep appearing on their own, with odd names like *SwingUpdater*, *SFU*, *authkit*, and *appdefense*. Sometimes there are dozens or even hundreds of these folders. I also see other folders with sequential numeric names like *1*, *1.1*, *1.2*, and so on.
What's even weirder is that when I open iCloud Drive on another device, everything looks normal—my folders appear just as I expect them. This strange behavior only happens on my Mac. I’ve tried deleting the odd folders, but they just reappear.

Sign out and in again
I've never seen this issue myself, but the first thing I'd try is to sign out of iCloud, delete iCloud Drive data from your Mac, restart the Mac, and then sign back in.
