Hi all,
Well, VoiceOver has failed me this time. I am doing much reading these days and my Word books are ok with VoiceOver, still wehnever it is large VoiceOver keeps acting up: moving from the headers to footers then to body text is miserable. VO becomes sluggish and to go back to where I had stopped is an issue itself. I have reinstalled OSX and rechecked Pages. it is the same, no change. Is this the case with VO in word processing on Mac? Are there any hints to improve it? Thanks

Wordprocessing with VoiceOver on the Mac
Hello r reading books in Microsoft Word depends on the file size and in such cases if your reading a very very long textbook per say it can be difficult tmostt of the time.
However wordprocessing on the Mac with VoiceOver is most certainly doable I was using MacOSX and VoiceOver I took notes using my MacBook I created presentations in KeyNote before for wordprocessing I use Microsoft Word2016 it's accessible with VoiceOver on the Mac.
I find that when navigating a word document using VoiCEOVER I in some cases depending on the length of the document if the document per say is about three pages long I use the VOiceOver command VOJ to get from page to page spellcheck is also another thing in the case of MicrosoftWord2016 you won't be able to use the normal VOICEOVER command to spellcheck a document I know it's a bit weird but trust me on this because I've got experience and I know what I'm talking about you would have to get used to pressing VO+command+E to spellcheck the document and to spellcheck any previous words you have missed in the document while spellchecking you use VO+command+shift+E to spellcheck. I hope this gives you understanding of how VOiceOVER interacts with MICROSOFTWord2016. .

Export
If all you are using it for is reading, try exporting to another format such as PDF.
Pages isn't really a reader. It is for document design and creation.
You are right
Yes, text processing on the Mac is a nightmare for me too. This is one of those topics where I can't understand how people could say that VoiceOver is better than JAWS.
I have the same problem with word and pages when I try to work with extensive files, and the suggestion should not be to change the format of the file, when these problems don't happen in windows.
I use a lot of extensive word files as I'm a lawyer and laws are not well known for being short.
Good luck and hope you find a solution for us.
