Voiceover not announcing column and row headers in Excel

When I am navigating tables in Microsoft Excel, Voicover is not announcing the column or row headers.

I have tried the VO + C command to have Voiceover read out the column header, however this doesn't seem to work.

I have tried to reset my Voiceover settings, however that didn't seem to help either.

I have made sure to go into voiceover utility and under the verbosity menu i have selected speak column headers when navigating a table.

Will appreciate if anybody can help me figure this out.

Thank You

Were you ever able to solve this issue? My wife is currently trying to get into BET and is having to wait an additional 6 months because they can't figure this out, any answer would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

Hi Gaurav, A small clarification is the data in the excel defined as a table?

I don’t know what this means

How do I check if the data is defined as a table?

Isn’t the Excel file one big table?

Hi Gaurav, An excel work sheet is not a table by itself. It contains only the data in rows and columns. To define a data as a table select the data area and press control plus T. Please share your findings.
