Hello everyone,
I recently took the plunge and updated to Mac OS Catalina. While I am finding the experience pretty stable, I'm having a fairly annoying issue on sites such as GoodReads, and I'm hoping one of you guys could help me out.
I'll be browsing the page of a book on GoodReads, and when I want to go to the next review, I'll type in "rated it", so I can see what the next person has rated the book. Only, it'll stick in the text where it says "x rated it however many stars".
I could deal with this. While it's annoying to have to uninteract with that block of text, it's simple enough to do. Only, when I press the command to go to the next search for the phrase "rated it", I get stuck in that same person's review. Even when I use the right arrows, I'll get stuck in that little bit of the webpage. When I go down to the heading after the reviews heading, and use the left arrow, I am able to scroll through the page with no trouble.
So...this is a mysterious one. Am I the only one having this issue? Is there a setting I can change so that Safari doesn't behave in this manner anymore? Adding to that, is there a new setting that I don't know about that I can change so whenever I search for something and then try to go to the next instance of that phrase, I don't get stuck on the first instance of it?
Definitely all ears on this one, and thanks in advance for any help.

I believe it is the way the page is coded. It happens on twitch mostly. Have you tried testing with safari webkit and report your findings to them?
Fixed with some Help
Hi, no I haven't ever tested anything like that before. I got some advice to go into preferences and set it so that the VoiceOver cursor doesn't follow the mouse cursor. That seems to have solved it.

I have it set like that to, I think. I'll have to have that checked.
