Hello! I am using MacOS Sonoma 14.2.1 with Reaper 7.07 and Osara, but experiencing some pretty strange behaviour from VoiceOver. First, I created a new track. Then, I added an existing audio file to it. I wanted to apply the reverse effect to the file, so I went to "item properties" from the file menu and checked the box. Next, I pressed "okay", exited the window, and played the track. Everything good so far. After that, I went to the file menu again and pressed VO+right arrow. Where VoiceOver should have said "item" it said nothing at all. Still nothing with VO+ down arrow. When I tried pressing escape it did not exit the menu and I was left with no choice but to force quit the application. I noticed the same thing happening in WavePad Audio Editor. I was wondering, has anyone else encountered this problem and are there any ideas for a solution? I am looking forward to your reply. Thank you in advance. Take care.

reversing the audio file .
Try pressing the letter v as in victory, this will reverse the file.
Menu navigation
I do not recommend use VO+Arrows to navigate through menus. Use arrow keys normally
Many thanks
Thank you to everyone who replied. I’ll keep your suggestions in mind. I understand that reaper is very customisable and it’s possible to get a lot of things done with the help of Shortcuts. As for navigating menus, I will try using the arrows only. However, it seems like this behaviour is caused by some kind of a bug of sorts, which I hope will be resolved in the next update. Thanks again.
I hate this menu bug!!!
When my mac was on sonoma, that bug drived me crazy in wavepad where you couldn't leave the menus, even if you tried.
I know 0 work arounds for this bug.
Wish I could help. Try using the arrow keys like other people have suggested with quick nav off.
Hope this helps a little,
Levi
A very annoying bug
It’s good to know that I’m not the only one who has run into this issue. I do hope that the bug will be fixed soon.
