Voice Dictation on Mac

Hi all,
I am not sure if you agree with me that this should be remodify in OS X or kept as it is, still for sure it is not a bu.
I have had some audio books and was thinking of converting one section of a book to written format, so I tried with Mac dictation by pressing twice on the Function Key. So while playing the audio book and once pressed on that key, the dictation ding sound appears still the playing of the audio book automatically pauses. Can there be any option to modify in order for that not to happen?
