Virtual machine questions on Mac

Hello all,
I tried using UTM to create a windows 11 arm virtual machine. I had so many troubles with it trying to get it to let me update windows that I decided to delete it. I know parallels does work well if you can get past the accessibility issues and the cost. Can we use the free version of VMWare to install windows 11 on arm? If we can is it much more difficult than parallels?

Yes, VMware Fusion 13 officially supports windows 11 on arm. You have to enroll in the windows insider program, download the file from Microsoft, and install windows 11 on arm that way, which I'd be happy o assist with if you send me a message. The only thing I'm finding with fusion is there is more of a lag between keystroke presses and speech output from the windows screen reader. I'm not sure if there is a fix, if anyone knows of one, let me know.

Someone told me a couple days ago it's no longer necessary to use the Insider builds. If you go to www.uupdump.net, you can build an ISO of the latest stable ARM build and use that instead. Combined with Fusion Player 13, this should make it significantly easier to run Windows on your Mac. No more running scripts to bypass checks because Vmware properly emulates all the requirements. I'm going to bite the bullet and get an M2 Mac Mini assuming it launches next year. It's going to be interesting to play with modern macOS and the ARM version of Windows. Hopefully I won't regret the purchase.
