Hello all, I am having difficulty using the Dashboard in Mavericks. Whenever I get into it and hit CTRL-Option-f2 twice I get the dashboard menu, and then I can select a widget. After that, VoiceOver keeps saying "Busy," and I can't ghet anywhere with ANY widget at all. I am using the latest version of Mavericks. Thanks for any help Andrea

Sorry, I'm not seeing that behavior here. I only have the default five widgets, but I can switch between them just fine. A couple things to check/try:

  • Restart your Mac. I know it seems obvious, but a quick restart might fix it.
  • Is it just one widget? That is, can you go to other ones with no problem, or is the problem happening for all of them?
  • How many do you have? It might be worth removing a few, just to see if Voiceover is somehow dealing with too much. I doubt this is the problem, but I'm just trying to think of everything. :)

I don't seem to be experiencing that problem either. I haven't used the Dashboard that much yet, but at least most of it seems to be pretty accessible.
