I'm trying to read a book that I purchased today on my phone using the native Books app. It appears in my library, I think under purchased titles, I can't remember where I found it exactly. But anyway, it's there, but when I go to read it, it says my computer isn't authorized. Every time I check this, it says one computer is authorized.
Does anyone have experience with this and have a solution that isn't overly complex?
Thanks so much in advance!

Reauthorise Computer?
Well, given what you've said so far, I'd say the most obvious first step would be to try reauthorising your computer. Go to the Account menu in the menu bar, choose the Authorisations submenu, then Authorise This Computer. You then sign in and should be told whether you've authorised this computer, or if it was already authorised, that this is the case. You get a limited number of authorisations of computers before you have to reset the count, which you can only do once per year.
is this on the books app?
Is this option on the books app, app store, or apple ID?
Books Apps
It's in the Books app. All of these apps (Music/TV/App Store/Books) share these controls, far as I can tell.
Does anyone remember
When iTunes existed on Mac, and iTunes was how you De-Authorize/Re-authorize computers?
Ah, the good old days ... 😇
iTunes a Sad Loss
Yes, really. People will laugh at the very idea that anyone could like such a bloated monstrosity, and clearly there needed to be a division of responsibilities for some things, but turning a powerful media manager into a load of crappy apps each with their own stupid storage requirements wasn't the way to go about it! Thanks to all the iTunes hate we now have something considerably inferior and less empowering for users. So thanks a lot iTunes haters! Grrrr.
Pffft, I liked iTunes for Mac
Agree that what they have done as a replacement for iTunes was just ... stupid.
