Please describe the issue and what steps we can take to reproduce it:
In VoiceOver on the latest public stable build of macOS 26 Tahoe, there exists a command to toggle keyboard braille access (VO+shift+y).
However:
1. Not only Voiceover doesnβt announce anything when we navigate even if Speak List Items and Speak Typing Feedback are checked under Braille Access tab in the braille category in VoiceOver Utility,
2. But we canβt go back to regular query keyboard without being forced to restart VoiceOver.
I am assuming this is intended for us to be use some of the relevant braille access features without having an actual physical braille display, but currently it does not work for its purpose and has a very unexpected behaviour that could easily make us completely unable to use our computer as blind users solely depending on VoiceOver.
Thank you for patching this bug.
