Trouble with App Store

I recently needed to change the password for my Apple ID. After doing this, everything on my iOS devices works fine. However, when trying to update software on my Mac, I get an earlier message that my Apple ID Is not good. Any software that I attempted update, I am told was not purchased with this Apple ID, or was canceled. Does anyone know what could be going on?
