so I downloaded some voices on my mack.
I press vo shift down arrow. I get to the voice list. I silent a voice and the menu closes.
but its still using the same voice as before I did the action.
can someone pleas help.

Voices not finished downloading yet
the probable cause of this is that the voices are probably not done downloading, hense the not switching of voice.
voices not working
I also have a MacBook air and find that it can take a few minutes for it to download voices. sometimes I have had to turn Voiceover off and back on again to get voices working.
