Hi all. Even though I don't use voice over regularly, I would like some help please. I would like to know how to use the spell checking menu with the voice over keystrokes in the text edit application. I have looked through the voice over user guide, but I seem to have missed it or I can't find what I am looking for. Any and all help is appreciated in advance. Thanks.

Hi. To find the next misspelled word, use Command-semicolon. You should hear it say the word. Now bring up the shortcut menu with Vo-Shift-M and you should hear the choices. Choose one of them as normal with Vo-space or a double-tap on the trackpad. BTW if this appears broken sometimes, bring up your window chooser and check for any open windows which may obscure it. You do this with Vo-f2-f2 or by double tapping two fingers on the right edge of the trackpad. You can also spellcheck in a dedicated window with Command-Colon. This brings up each word and a table. Enjoy.
