Spell Check Issue with Pages

Hello,
Is anyone familiar with spell check in Pages? I pressed command+semi-colon to run document check, and the misspelled words after correcting are visually invisible by showing a blank space (as if the word is completely erased), while Voiceover still reads these words just as normal. Any help with this situation is appreciated.
